U-Cut and tree lot operators
Display the model DTS - 6 tree stand attached to both ends of a short tree stub or 2' X 4;with a bucket, as shown on a hard surface such as concrete or a sheet of ply wood. Customers will see how they hold up a tree. Just ask. "Would you like see how quick and easy a tree can be adjusted upright?" Use the display to show how a tree can be adjusted as shown in the drawings.

For Tree Lot Operators If you are in a good location, with a few trees on display with the Davis tree stand attached you will be succesful. A large tree displayed on a DTS-12 is impressive. All trees will bring a hilgher price if displayed on the Davis stand.
Gary Smith, one of the most succesful tree lots operators I know of. He has a tree lot in Springfield, Oregon 58th & Main called Tom's Trees and he has been selling the Davis Christmas tree stand from the beginning. Read carefully the following dialog;
I asked, "Gary, tell me. How do you sell the Davis Christmas tree stand."He said. "John I sell trees and the stand sells it's self."
"How can that be?" I asked
He said, "when a customer comes on my lot, I ask if I can be of any help. When the tree is picked out, I will saw off a slice of the tree trunk. While I am sawing off a slice, I will ask, 'What kind of a tree stand do you have to go on this tree?' When he tells me, I will say. 'You will need a sturdy stand for this tree. I carry a tree stand you won't believe until you see what it does. Do you mind if I try it on this tree?
'When he gives me the ok, I put the stand on and adjust it upright in less than a minute and before he can say anything, I say, 'Any time you bring this stand back and buy a tree I will put it on at no extra charge. Now, do you want me to take it off or leave it on?"
Then I asked Gary. "How many of your customers have bought the Davis Christmas tree stand."
He said. "Ninety percent."
Then I said. "Gary I like your style. May I use this conversation for use in advertising, because I think it could be helpful to other tree lot operators."
Gary said. "You sure can."

Jeff Woods is saying
"I have been Selling Christmas Trees for the past 9 years and started carrying the Davis Christmas tree stand three years ago. I noticed a pickup in tree sales right off. I keep 20 to 25 of the bigger trees on display, at all the times. Customers looking for quality trees, like to walk all around the tree. The stands keep me from having to hold up trees while the customer looks at them. I just set back and let the customers browse until they are ready to buy. I have discovered, it is the people who buy good quality trees are the people who buy the Davis stand. It is a good feeling knowing my customers are getting the best.

Every one who has an interest in preserving the American fresh cut Christmas tree tradition and heritage, should become an active member of (DCTSN) Davis Christmas Tree Stand Network.
Fresh cut trees are under attack and loosing the battle to artificial trees being shipped in from over seas. The Davis Christmas tree stand is so easy to use, plus the DCTS Network team players all working together to give people the best possible service at the best possible price, could be a major factor in winning the battle to save the tree farmers and preserve our American fresh cut Christmas tree tradition and heritage.
